Store services
Serving the community of Coatbridge and beyond for over 20 years, James Hughes is renowned for its outstanding service and using pioneering technologies to correct complex prescriptions.
The long-established laird street optician is open for all your eye care needs. You can book an appointment here. While you are visiting, you can also browse our wide collection of men's and women's glasses and sunglasses.
Using the latest technology we offer an enhanced eye exam - Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) which is a quick, painless scan, with countless benefits for your eyesight as well as your health.
OCT scans are recommended for those aged 25 or over, who want to know more about their eye health, or have diabetes, glaucoma, or have family history of eye disease. The layers at the back of the eye can be difficult to see with standard equipment. An OCT scan displays vibrant colour pictures of these ultra-thin membranes. £25 additional cost applies.
