Lovely and quick service. I had a pair of glasses that needed a bit of a fit adjustment and their staff was fast and exceedingly kind.

They are a really lovely bunch of people. You don't just have your appointment you have a laugh. They have a great range of glasses to pick from. I love when I have an appointment because it's a lovely cozy place in there, it's decorated for christmas now and it looks wonderful 🫶

Thank you for fixing my glasses so quickly!!! My frame snapped in two while on holiday on the beautiful Isle of Skye, my holiday would have been ruined if the amazing team at JM MacDonald Opticians wouldn’t have saved the day ! I left with a new frame that was chosen to fit my lenses from my broken pair, all while making sure they are adjusted to fit my face. Service in just under 20 min. Thank you so much to everyone working there, amazing team and had a great chat with the receptionist who told me so many stories about Isle of Skye while waiting for my glasses to be fixed. Great Scottish hospitality.

Came upon the Portree office by sweet coincidence with a.pair of glasses in tatters- lens popped out and earpiece fallen off. Mary greeted me warmly, tutted over.my disaster and said come back after lunch and she'd see what the tech could do. After a lovely coffee and scone at the Birch ( coffee was top end. The staff friendly and quite pretty) I returned an hour later to completely reconstructed glasses and a pleasant" thank you. No charge" Absolutelty grand! I did donate to the" Cake Fund". If service of this quality was everywhere the internet would cease to exist. Thank you MacDonald Opticians. You saved my holiday!

Top notch optician! Professional and excellent customer service plus fabulous window display to entice you inside! Apart from a comprehensive eye test there is also audio (ear/hearing) test available! Definitely recommend this 5* optician on the glorious Isle of Skye! UPDATED 7 Nov 2024: went in to collect my new glasses today but sadly the wrong lenses had been inserted (lab problem not opticians!) - I was immediately advised that the correct lenses would be re ordered and the incorrect ones (permanent sunglasses!) would be given free of charge as recompense! Excellent customer service! If I could give more than 5 * then I would! If you live on or are visiting Skye and need an optician then this is definitely the best place to go!
