2020 Opticians

Would highly avoid. Collected my glasses on Friday. I tried them on in the shop for literally 2 minutes and everything seemed fine — the prescription is only 1.5 for laptop use. I put them in the case, didn’t use them again, and took them out on Monday morning to work on my laptop. That’s when I noticed two white scratches on the lenses. I phoned the shop immediately and was told to bring them in on Wednesday when the manager would be in. I hadn’t worn them at all outside of those 2 minutes in the shop. When I took them in on Wednesday, the manager wasn't there. Another staff member told me the glasses would have been fine when they left the shop. I explained that I only had them on briefly and didn’t think I needed to inspect brand-new glasses for scratches. I called again on Friday for an update and was told they were “under investigation.” When I went to collect them, I was told they would only replace the lenses at my cost, claiming I must have scratched them — essentially calling me a liar. So now I’ve wasted £100 on glasses that were worn for a total of about 7 minutes before I noticed the damage. Absolutely would not recommend. The manager was extremely rude, and the service was terrible. Avoid at all costs. Been attending this opticians for years when it was only Catriona Pearson never had any issues. I have now removed my whole family's details from there books. Absolutely disgusted with the service.
