I felt very comfortable throughout the process. I really appreciated that the practitioner explained each part of the tests as we progressed/ said WHY each one was done/pointed out potential negative aspects and that she listened to my concerns, and responded effectively ( gave me a prescription, and suggested a product which might be helpful.) I very much appreciate that there was no attempt to 'hard sell', or 'up-sell', and that I was treated with respect and empathy. The practitioner was extremely pleasant as well as being very professional. One of the best experiences I have had when having routine eye-tests! Thank you.

Very helpful, professional and always fairly easy and quick to get an appointment. Puts all GP practices in Edinburgh to shame.

Very good experience with 20-20 Opticians; they conducted all necessary tests, & were courteous & professional.

I was advised by my GP to have an eye check up due to recently being diagnosed with hypertension. The person who examined me was annoyed when she heard the reason I came for a check up. She said that there is no reason for me to have a check up and this is a waste of NHS money, she said the GP gave me wrong information, misleaded me and she should have sent me for a check up only if I have diabetes. Because I am already on a tablet for hypertension she said that I didn't need the check up and this was also a waste of my time. She asked what will happen if the doctors start to send all patients for an eye check up when they don't need one - I advised her to get in touch with my GP, and gave her the name and practice. She found a broken blood vessel in one of my eyes and said that since I am on the tablet everything is ok. In a rhetorical way she asked what the doctor wanted to do about it since I am on the tablet. Totally disappointed about this appointment, a rude behaviour. For clarity, I trust my GP and I will not go to another appointment if I know this optician assistant will be on the shift.

No problem getting an appointment, I was seen on time and examination was thorough. Advice was given on eye condition with treatment plan. New prescription was emailed to me as soon as we were finished. All in all a very good service.
