Meet The Team
Jen Stevens
Practice ManagerJen joined 20/20 Opticians 3 years ago. Her career in Optics began 30 years ago with 20/20 in Edinburgh prior to it becoming part of the Duncan & Todd Group. She gained valuable experience in several areas of Optics working up to Practice Management. Over the years she has worked for several Optical businesses but was delighted to return to 20/20. Jen ensures the Practice in Dunfermline has a variety of beautiful frames and can pick out the perfect one for her patients. Her aim is to ensure every patient receives the very best Optical care in a friendly, caring environment.
Moira Wilson
OptometristMoira has been Dunfermline’s resident Optometrist for many years, and is trusted throughout Dunfermline for her experience, knowledge and care. Many of her patients first came to see her as young children and now as adults bring their own children for their eye examinations. Moira loves skiing, enjoying annual trips to the French mountains and is reaching fluency in the language.
Claire Beattie
OptometristClaire has 13 years of experience working in optics, 9 of which as an Optometrist, and recently has become IP qualified. She is passionate about working with people and aims to provide the best possible care for her patients. She is committed to furthering her knowledge and enhancing her clinical skills, recently achieving a diploma in Independent Prescribing meaning she can provide additional treatment for some eye conditions in the community. Outside of work Claire enjoys spending time with her family & keeps fit with running.
Matthew Spiers
Dispensing OpticianMatthew is a Dispensing Optician who qualified in 2021 with a first-class honours degree after working in optics since 2016. He has a particular interest in helping patients with low vision and has volunteered with Seescape previously. When not at work you will find him either walking his Romanian rescue dog or tucked away in his workshop building wooden furniture and kid's toys.
Carol Mizzi
Optical AssistantCarol is our Optical Assistant and the friendly face all our patients meet when they enter our Practice. She has worked in Optics since 2007 when she joined Gunn & Galbraith and remained part of the team when it became 20/20 Opticians in 2014. Carol knows so many of our patients by name and gives everyone a warm welcome. She also loves bright, colourful glasses and regularly updates her collection.
